How do I get a quote for a new service?
You can contact us by emailing enquiries@element-pfp.co.uk, giving us a call at 0116 467 0387 or using our contact form. We will discuss the services you need for your building and email you a quote, typically within 1-2 business days.
When would I need a Fire Risk Assessment?
You are required to have a Fire Risk Assessment every 12 months by law! The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, means that any person who has some level of control in an organisation and/or over premises must take reasonable steps to reduce the risk of fire. Fire Compartmenation & Fire Door Surveys aren't required by law but are typically required as a result of the FRA.
Why do I need a Survey after a Fire Risk Assessment?
The Fire Risk Assessment covers areas in Fire Compartmentation and Fire Doors but this covers only samples of some areas in the building, therefore any defects identified in these areas could be present throughout the building. Having a Fire Compartmentation or Fire Door Survey means we can confirm whether the rest of the building needs any remedial work by surveying all of the concerned areas.
What are the benefits of our Aftercare service?
The benefits of our aftercare after remedial works for compartmentation or fire doors are:
- You only have to deal with one contractor for all works so the hassle of finding contractors for different works is taken away
- We maintain a high level of safety compliance throughout the building and our works
- It prevents you from being hit with high remedial works quote as we would be able to conduct remedial works, saving you from a full replacement cost
Are your works certified?
All of our works are IFC certified and we have many other certifications including ASFP, Constructionline Gold, CHAS, Builders Profile Premium, IFSM, Safe Contractor, FPA and ISO.
Will I receive a certificate after the works are completed?
You will receive an IFC certificate after the works are completed and a full O&M manual.
What happens once a survey is complete?
Once we have completed our survey, you will receive an executive summary, which will provide you with an overview of our findings once the survey is conducted. You will also receive an in-depth survey report and itemised cost breakdown along with a formal quotation letter within 7 business days.
How often do I need my Fire Doors inspected?
You are required by law to have your fire doors inspected every 6 months. We can inspect your fire doors and carry out surveys to determine if any remedial works are required.
